T O R R E N T is driven by a commitment to create a vibrant nexus where LA-based dancers, actors, composer-performers, writers, and researchers from diverse disciplines come together to craft thought-provoking performances through bold, collaborative risk-taking. Our mission is to produce experimental, interdisciplinary works for the stage, film, and installations that challenge conventions and inspire new perspectives. In its inaugural season, the company has presented over thirteen performances of five original stage works in Los Angeles, New York City, and New Mexico, received two prestigious commissions from the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs Performing Arts Division, completed five choreographic residencies across the country, and created two original works for film.
